Factomize
Greetings! Thank you for applying to run an Authority Node. I have a few initial questions after reading your submission:

A. You mention that,
Atlantic Crypto supports transaction processing and network security on several decentralized ecosystems.
Are any of these ecosystems potential competitors to the Factom protocol? If so, which?

B. Are any of the major shareholders in Atlantic Crypto people or entities who might in any way have a conflict of interest by owning a stake in your Factom Authority Node? Do they own a 10% or larger stake in any potential Factom competitors tokens or infrastructure?

C. You mention,
Factom is going to rapidly transform global data-integrity. Coming from the Finance industry, we are very aware of the immeasurable problems created by today's data storage practices.
Can you share an example of how you see Factom’s technology solving one of these problems?

Could you provide the roles and experience for each team member?
You state that at least 1 team member is able to administer the nodes. Could you point the members out in the above answer? Could you make sure to include the statement about 50 years of experience in running production servers amongst these team members

You state that there are other major shareholders outside of the listed members. Without having to disclose them, could you disclose the amount of extra shareholders and their stakes?

We feel comfortable securing the Factom nodes with this background combined with working with 3rd party security firms.
NK4)
Could you elaborate on the latter? What would these firms be doing for you as a node operator?

I haven't seen any mention of potential security measures you would take. Could you come up with some examples?

On node 1 you stated to have SAS discs besides SSD. On node 2 you only stated SSD. Why is there a difference?
You stated to be running Docker volumes. Are these volumes on the same Discs as the stated discs?

We have a 24/7 team servicing our GPU facility. That same team will be available to service Factom server hardware.
NK7)
How do you provide software/administration emergency support, since you state the team is for server hardware. How does that team service hardware across the world? What hardware would be serviced for a VPS?

Could you supply a short description about the number of mainnet servers you will be running, since to me that is not clear. In which capacity would these be running? If you heard about the guard node discussions, please include these in the answer

The ecosystems we are referring to are Golem, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic, Monero, ZCash. We do not believe these are competitors to Factom.

There are no potential conflicts of interest in Atlantic Crypto equity holders.

The entire title industry is a great example. Any physical asset (vehicles, houses, boats, etc) can be put on the factom network and easily transferred amongst owners. While quite broad, this is a highly disruptive act that Factom can easily scale to.

Physical Security:
Centrally monitored cellular data alarm system
Hardened non-used points of entry
Internet accessible camera and monitoring systems

Network Security:
Firewalled network with single point of external access
Redundant, load-balanced interenet connections
Minimized surface area of exposure (default deny policies on firewalls)

Typo - Both nodes are SSD. Must have checked the SAS box as well on accident.
Yes, same volume.

Sorry - not quite following. This is remote support for VPS hardware.

Additionally, we expect to host factom servers within our facilities ultimately. We already have backup servers within our facilities available.

NK8)
On node 2 you state the above on the question about RAID type. How does this relate to the RAID type in use?
We already have rapid data I/O with SSD write. The only other point of using RAID would be for backup situations. We do not employ RAID, however we are backing up the volumes within digital ocean. Apologies for any confusion.
