As a development ANO creating governance and marketing solutions for the protocol that are not profit-motivated while needing to be extremely agile, Factomize is on a variable efficiency. With the recent price rise of FCT, we created this thread where we asked about increasing development or raising efficiency and ANOs overwhelmingly voted for more development.

We've decided to increase efficiency 5% AND increase development, slowly at first, then continue to ramp up as the price of FCT further allows. Additionally, we had to spend the last four days tracking down a very difficult bug and are worried about the community perspective of not delivering regularly when similar situations arise. And finally, it's very difficult to properly budget for development with such volatile price swings so we'll be taking the conservative approach while trying our best to put FCT into the grant pool.

If we adjust our efficiency again in December, we will use this update thread rather than create a new update. If we adjust in January or future months, we'll create a new update.

We're unfortunately going to be going back to 0% for the time being.
David, are the funds wholly going towards development of the factomize forum? I recall you mentioning at one point that you have a developer that could serve as an asset in core protocol development. Are there still plans for that person to do core protocol development? Thanks

Funds are going to the development of projects for the Factom protocol ecosystem. For example, we're currently working on a communication tool that should be released in early January that aggregates information from this forum, Discord, Reddit, etc and emails that info out.

Yes, there's a reasonable chance our developer will transition to core development in the near term.
