Hi everyone. Your financial doc states that everyone has full time jobs. How are you planning on balancing those jobs with needing to be "on call" for Factom issues? Thanks

You wrote that one of your log terms goals is to "hire developer to factomize our business." Can you break that down for me? Thanks

  • Gieril does not have a full-time side job and only has his studies to worry about periodically. He’s essentially available full-time.
  • Jens Petter Kåven, Geir Kåven and Svein-Tore Kåven have work hours they partly control themselves.
    • Geir Kåven and Svein-Tore kåven are general managers of their respective businesses and can pretty much manage their own working hours.
    • Jens Petter is negotiating a partial leave from his current job if he can be compensated by working part time at Blockrock Mining Inc.

Please prioritize the following -- BTC mining, ETH mining, running a Factom node.
Our mining operation is mostly self-sustainable once set up properly, meaning there’s little maintenance needed on our current setup. Lately we’ve been more focused on setting up various masternodes we believe in and of course Factom!

If there’s a situation where we have to choose between maintenance on one or many of our miners or the factom nodes, the priority is Factom. We’re exploring the possibility of hiring personnel to handle maintenance on our mining operation starting this summer, regardless of our involvement with Factom, in which case we can focus on operating and expanding Factom commitment.

We’re aiming to develop two products, both of which are bi-products of mining: Industrial heating and Domestic heating.
  • The industrial heating involves harvesting heat from our mining rigs in a district heating plant, and then distributing energy via hot water to our customers, utilizing existing infrastructure from previous attempts at district heating. By Factomizing the energy usage logs from our customers, we can ensure that the billing is always correct.
  • The domestic heating concept, as demoed by “ecominer”, is a water-cooled mining rig connected to your domestic heating system, aimed at pre-heating water either for the boiler or water-based heating such as underfloor heating. Here, hashrate-logs could be Factomized to ensure the customer would receive correct compensation for running the ecominer.
We would need to hire an external developer to develop these tools for us, though.
